UPDATED ON 18 November, 2018.
Nature is a major source of inspiration for my work. It tells about my childhood spent in southern Switzerland where I walked in the woods around my home and went for long hikes with my father and friends. Today I live in big cities and my observation of nature and plants has mostly shifted towards urban gardens and city parks.
This photographic project is constituted of an interaction between observation, fantasy, and history and is inspired by real facts about the evolution of plants. Photographs of natural elements found in my surroundings and an imagined scientific lab environment recreated in my studio, aims to inspire thinking about the state of nature today that is not so good looking. The project hints at what has led us into what is now officially known as the Anthropocene epoch, a geolocical time associated with human impact.
