BLOG

UPDATED ON 14 AUGUST, 2018.

People and Plants are a major source of inspiration for my work. They tell about my childhood spent in the natural landscape of southern Switzerland and recent observations in the woods and city parks of London and New York City.

Whilst studying the co-existence of people and plants more in depth, I've started working on a fantasy photo story of a world that is real and inspired by real facts about the evolution of plants. The work is constituted of an interaction between observation, fantasy, and history. The project aims to awake our thoughts about the current state of nature and the environment, and what has led us into what is today officially known as the Anthropocene Epoch.

Here below you see various images of my research and work in progress. Please forward any questions to matteo.patocchi@gmail.com
